1. People who walk their dogs without leashes are scofflaws and should be fined. I suggest getting a plain-clothes policeman to patrol at various hours. There's already a monetary fine in the law, but we should add some community service in the form of picking up dog poo.
2. The GDA should try to get our once-a-week garbage pickup scheduled for Monday because everyone naturally puts out a lot of trash from weekend projects.
3. GDA should create a flyer on the subject of garbage and trash (I know several people who would volunteer to distribute them). For instance, on the very day after pickup, DON'T put out the old sofa that's been rotting in the garage for years. Light fixtures, vacuum cleaners, furniture, etc. will NEVER be picked up unless they are disguised in a trash bag. Contractors should be reminded that they are responsible for picking up the debris they create, which includes the food containers their workmen leave behind.
Over and out.
